Api Walker is seeking an API & Cloud Platform Engineer to build and operate the mission-critical infrastructure powering client API ecosystems.

You will apply DevOps principles to create automated, resilient, and scalable platforms using Infrastructure as Code, deploy CI/CD pipelines, manage Kubernetes clusters, and implement comprehensive observability. Security is integral to the delivery pipeline.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on Terraform + major cloud provider (AWS preferred).
• Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Strong CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Bash, Python, or Go scripting.
• Networking basics (VPC, DNS, Load Balancing) & security best practices.
• Experience with monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).

As an API & Cloud Platform Engineer, you build and operate the mission-critical infrastructure powering our clients' API ecosystems. Applying DevOps principles, you create automated, resilient, and scalable platforms using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You will build sophisticated CI/CD pipelines, manage Kubernetes clusters, and implement comprehensive observability stacks. Security is paramount, and you will harden the platform and integrate security into the delivery pipeline. We are looking for an engineer passionate about automation who believes everything should be 'as-code'. If you enjoy scripting complex processes and ensuring system reliability, you will thrive in this role, shaping the foundation of modern digital services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, GKE) and related services.
• Implement and maintain comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Manage the deployment and configuration of API Management platforms like Kong or Gravitee.
• Automate platform operations, security hardening, and compliance checks.
• Provide support for platform issues and act as a subject matter expert for development teams.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering role.
• Strong, hands-on expertise in Terraform and at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred).
• Proficient with container technologies (Docker) and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Solid experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go.
• Knowledge of networking concepts (VPC, DNS, Load Balancing) and security best practices.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
