OPmobility is seeking a Master’s student to contribute to the post-processing of data from finite element injection simulations on large automotive parts and to develop digital tools for geometric optimization of plastic components.

The position is a 6-month internship starting February 2027, based in France. You will work within the Design & Development department and collaborate across Excel, VBA, Python, and APIs to automate analyses and improve prediction reliability.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Applied Mathematics, Industrial Computing, or Mechanical Engineering.
• English level at least B2/C1 to handle documentation and collaboration.
• Strong programming skills in VBA and Python; knowledge of APIs is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Analyze current tools used in the Injection & Tooling department.
• Develop and improve analysis and calculation tools (Excel, VBA, Python) to boost performance and automate tasks.
• Create new tools for post-processing and analyzing results with graphical and statistical representations.
• Improve spreadsheet interfaces and add interactive features for data prep and result visualization.
• Enhance finite element mesh generation scripts for geometric optimization of thermoplastic parts.
• Develop automation functions (Excel, VBA, Python, APIs) to facilitate data transfer between CAD and simulation software.
• Contribute to improving reliability of AI-based simulation predictions.
