Microchip Technology Inc. in Nantes, France seeks an Analog Validation Engineer II to support validation and characterization of new microcontrollers. You will work with analog design and product teams to develop validation plans and characterize ADCs, DACs, PLLs and op-amps.

You will develop embedded software for new MCUs, build automatic test benches with LabVIEW and TestStand, and analyze results to produce IP characterization reports, ensuring datasheet specs are met.

Qualifications

• MSEE/MSCE from an accredited engineering school is required.
• 1–3 years of related work experience.
• Good knowledge of analog electronics.
• Familiarity with ADC, DAC, PLL, op-amps IPs.
• Experience with measurement equipment: oscilloscope, AWG, multimeter.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Desirable: embedded software development for MCUs (C-based).
• Desirable: LabVIEW, TestStand, Python experience.
• Desirable: JIRA, GIT, Confluence familiarity.
• Desirable: data analysis tools like JMP.
• Interest in working in an international environment.

Responsabilités

• Participate in development of new microcontrollers.
• Collaborate with worldwide analog design, integration, app and product teams.
• Define validation plans for analog blocks (ADC, DAC, PLL, OPAMP).
• Specify schematics for characterization hardware.
• Develop embedded software for new MCUs.
• Develop automatic test benches using LabVIEW and TestStand.
• Debug issues with design teams and identify root causes.
• Analyze measurements, compare with simulations, write IP reports.
• Specify electrical performance for datasheets.
• Contribute to improvements of validation methods and tooling.
