Mistral is seeking an AI Scientist to join the Robotics team, developing next-generation AI for general-purpose mobile manipulation robots. You will collaborate with researchers, software engineers, and product teams to bring frontier AI into practical robotic applications in real-world environments.

You will deploy AI models on physical robotic platforms, optimize performance, and contribute to cross-domain research and production-grade engineering.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building AI systems for robotics or large vision-language models.
• Strong software engineering skills, preferably in Python.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
• Design scalable, production-ready AI software and infrastructure.
• Robotics domains such as manipulation, navigation, simulation, 3D perception, embodied reasoning, or vision-language-action models.
• Familiarity with end-to-end MLOps lifecycle, including training, fine-tuning, evaluation, and deployment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, proactive and collaborative approach.
• Track record of AI research, technical innovation, or publications.

The Role

As an AI Scientist on the Robotics team, you will develop the next generation of AI systems for general-purpose mobile manipulation robots. Your work will help advance intelligent robots that can perceive, reason, and interact with the physical world in real-world environments.
