Job summary

Limagrain is seeking an AI Scientist in Bioinformatics and Genomics in Chappes to advance AI-driven plant biology initiatives. You will develop ML/DL models for omics data, build AI-ready workflows, and collaborate with biologists, data engineers, and product owners to accelerate discovery.

You will help design scalable AI solutions, governance standards, and future computing infrastructures (GPU, Cloud, HPC) to support large-scale analyses in a cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Bioinformatics, AI, Data Science, Computational Genomics, or Systems Biology.
• Proven experience applying AI to Life Sciences.
• Strong expertise in genomics, transcriptomics, and biological data analysis.
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch and/or TensorFlow, Docker, and modern MLOps tools.
• Experience working with Cloud and HPC environments.
• Scientific curiosity, an innovative mindset, and a passion for transforming research through AI.

Main Goal

You will join the Bioinformatics team and work closely with a Data Engineer, a Data Product Owner, as well as the Data & AI and Scientific Computing teams.

Your responsibilities will include:
