Körber Global Business Services GmbH seeks an AI Engineer to build, deploy, and operate AI solutions across production environments. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and vendors to deliver scalable, secure AI capabilities that drive measurable business value.

You will deploy ML models, develop APIs, monitor performance, and support CI/CD and MLOps practices while continuously improving observability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience in software/AI engineering, including cloud deployments.
• Proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, containers, and DevOps tooling.
• Exposure to AI, ML, LLMs, prompt engineering, or RAG.

AI Engineer (m/f/d) Global Business Services

As an AI Engineer, you will build, deploy, integrate, and operate AI solutions within production environments. Working closely with Product Managers, Architects, and vendors, you will ensure our AI capabilities are scalable, reliable, secure, and deliver real business value across the group.

Your role in our team

• You deploy machine learning and generative AI models into production environments, turning prototypes into reliable, business-ready solutions.
• You develop APIs, services, and integrations that embed AI capabilities directly into our business applications, and you build and maintain reusable AI components.
• You monitor model performance, latency, reliability, and availability, and you implement observability, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards to keep our services healthy.
• You troubleshoot incidents and support ongoing service operations, ensuring continuity and stability for the wider organization.
• You optimise AI solutions for performance, scalability, cost, and maintainability, while supporting CI/CD pipelines and MLOps practices.
• You contribute to automation and operational efficiency improvements that raise the bar for how we deliver AI.
• You collaborate with vendors and platform providers to maintain operational stability, and you support testing, deployment, and release activities.
• As a hands-on partner to Product Managers and Architects, you help shape and deliver AI solutions end to end.

Your profile

• A completed bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline forms the foundation of your profile.
• You bring 3–6 years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, data engineering, or AI/ML engineering, including deploying applications and services into cloud environments.
• You are proficient in Python and apply modern software engineering practices with confidence.
• You have solid hands-on experience with APIs, microservices, containers, and DevOps tooling.
• You have exposure to AI, machine learning, large language models, prompt engineering, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions.
• You are familiar with monitoring, logging, and operational support practices.
• Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, or GCP) are desirable, and AI, Machine Learning, or Data Engineering certifications are advantageous.
• A problem-solving mindset, a collaborative working style, and a genuine drive for continuous learning set you apart.
