AEOLUS develops, invests in and manages renewable energy IPP projects in Africa. We are seeking a Project Finance Associate to build and own financial models, structure financing and support investment decisions across development, technical and legal teams.

You will work with banks, DFIs, ECAs and sponsors to move projects from development through Financial Close, ensuring robust financial analysis and execution in a small, entrepreneurial setting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in project finance cash flow modelling.
• Strong ability to build, understand and analyse project finance models.
• Good understanding of debt sizing, cash waterfalls and financial covenants.
• Solid grasp of financial statements and corporate finance fundamentals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to own workstreams and manage multiple priorities.
• Analytical, accurate and detail-oriented.

Responsabilités

• Build, review and maintain project finance cash flow models for renewable energy IPP projects.
• Take ownership of the financial modelling workstream and scenarios (Base, Financing, Sponsor).
• Analyse tariffs, CAPEX, OPEX, financing terms and FX effects; perform sensitivity analyses.
• Assist in structuring project finance transactions and financing strategies.
• Coordinate with banks, DFIs, ECAs, sponsors and advisers to progress Financial Close.
• Provide financial analyses for investment decisions and internal approvals.
• Monitor project cash flows, debt service and lender reporting.
