Job summary

Airbus Operations SAS in Toulouse seeks an Acoustic Testing & Analysis Engineer to join the Flight Test Analyst team. You will drive acoustic testing activities across ground, flight, and lab environments and contribute to securing aircraft certification and comfort through data analytics and AI integration.

The role requires a Master’s in Acoustics or related field, strong signal processing and Python skills, and experience with acoustic instrumentation and metrology.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Acoustics, Vibration, or related engineering with an experimental focus.
  • Strong background in signal processing, data analytics, statistics, and big data management.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analytics and automation; Big Data experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with acoustic instrumentation, metrology, and test methods.

Responsibilities

  • Map acoustic data sources and support deployment of the digital/data strategy, including AI integration.
  • Define, prepare, and support flight and ground test procedures with acoustic instrumentation and metrology.
  • Post-process and validate test data using advanced signal processing and produce technical reports.
  • Conduct data analytics and cross-functional investigations for noise & vibration issues and certification support.

****Job Description:****Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an **Acoustic Testing & Analysis Engineer (f/m)** to join our **Flight Test Analyst team (1VVGO)** based in Toulouse, France.You will be part of a team developing **acoustic testing activities across all environments (ground, flight, and lab)**. Wherever possible, we foster flexible working arrangements to stimulate innovative thinking.**Your challenges:*** Map all acoustic data sources and support the deployment of the digital/data strategy, including AI ecosystem integration (pattern recognition, auto-diagnostic, AI-driven data validation).* Define, prepare, and support flight and ground test procedures, including acoustic instrumentation, metrology, and test methods.* Post-process and validate test data using advanced signal processing techniques, and produce technical reports for R&T, cabin intelligibility (RASTI), new designs, and production.* Perform data analytics, statistical correlations, and automation to exploit massive data sets and build predictive acoustic/vibration models.* Conduct cross-functional investigations (MAP, Design Office, Suppliers, Delivery Centers) for noise & vibration troubleshooting, flight telemetry follow-up, and certification support.**Your boarding pass:*** Master’s degree in Acoustics, Vibration, or related Engineering discipline with an experimental focus.* Technical expertise in signal & data processing, big data management, and statistical methods.* Proficiency in Python programming for data analytics and automation (Big Data experience is a plus).* Familiarity with acoustic instrumentation, hardware (microphones, acquisition systems, audio gear), and metrology.* Advanced English language proficiency (French is a plus), basic project management skills, and strong autonomy/interpersonal skills.This position requires the ability to travel for business according to operational requirements.Not a 100% match?
