Job summary

UNU-WIDER, part of the United Nations University, is seeking a home-based external consultant to develop a holistic Wellbeing Programme. The assignment includes literature review, survey design, inception report, costed programme outline, and multiple review rounds, with a final costed plan for 2021–2027 and a strong emphasis on international collaboration and UN system alignment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in health, psychology, sociology, HR, business/public administration, or related fields.
• Proven experience in delivering similar programmes/action plans and in planning, designing, preparation and delivery of wellbeing programmes.
• Excellent drafting skills and fluency in both oral and written English.
• Excellent teamwork and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out literature review of relevant policies on wellbeing within UNU and UN as needed.
• Design and conduct surveys using established methodologies to assess wellbeing.
• Develop inception report and action-oriented WIDER Wellbeing Programme outline.
• Present inception report to Task Force and management for feedback.
• Finalize inception report and develop first draft of the programme (costed).
• Present the programme for review by the Wellbeing Task Force and gather comments.
• Incorporate feedback and finalize the draft programme.
• Submit a costed Wellbeing Programme document for validation and adoption.
