Job description

We are looking for a results-driven, strategic and motivational professional to join KÄÄPÄ Biotech as Vice President of Sales.

In this role you will be responsible for building and scaling our sales team across multiple markets, driving new business development, and strengthening long-term customer relationships. This role requires a seasoned sales leader who can think strategically while also executing hands-on initiatives, from lead generation through conversion, to retention and account growth.

You will play a critical role in shaping our commercial strategy, working closely with Marketing, R&D, and Operations to ensure we reach the right customers with the right message, while delivering exceptional value to every partner.

Key responsibilities
Team Leadership & Growth
  • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team across multiple locations.
  • Establish clear goals, KPIs, and processes for accountability and success.
  • Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture.
Sales Strategy & Execution
  • Define and execute the sales strategy for multiple customer segments (from startups to large enterprises).
  • Develop tailored approaches for lead generation, conversion, and retention in partnership with Marketing.
  • Oversee and optimize the entire sales pipeline and process.
Customer Development & Retention
  • Build deep relationships with customers and partners across the nutraceutical and functional food/beverage industries.
  • Ensure strong onboarding, account management, and long-term retention strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and partnership growth.
Market & Industry Engagement
  • Leverage an existing network of contacts to drive immediate opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy.
Qualifications and essential requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in the nutraceutical, functional ingredients, or related health & wellness industries.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling successful sales teams across multiple locations.
  • Deep understanding of B2B sales cycles for ingredients and raw materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business through both personal networks and team execution.
  • Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to balance high-level vision and hands-on execution.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • High energy, entrepreneurial mindset, and passion for functional health solutions.
