Tools Programmer, mo.co

We’re looking for a programmer who enjoys making tools, improving pipelines, and enabling the development team to join us.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a proactive programmer, want to own significant parts of our content pipeline, and work closely with artists, producers, game programmers, and engine programmers. You will identify bottlenecks in the content pipeline and runtime performance, design solutions, and implement them with the client tech team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, improve, design, and develop editors, tools, and plugins for game content creation and graphics pipelines on Windows and Mac OS platforms.
• Work closely with game artists and gameplay programmers on tool UX.
• Identify and implement improvements to the game engine.

Requirements

• Strong, professional experience with C++.
• Ability to quickly understand existing code.
• Experience in writing custom editors and tools for game development.
• Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical people.
• Driven, focused, and committed to project delivery.

Nice to haves

• Experience writing plugins for 3rd party content creation tools like Maya & Photoshop.
• Experience in iOS/Android development.
• Experience with Flash/Animate.
