About the role

We are looking for a hands-on and solution-oriented Test Development Engineer to join our R&D team. The position is full-time (37,5h per week) with a permanent contract.

In this role, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production test systems for electronic products. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure reliable and efficient testing throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, update, and repair production test systems and tester fleet.
  • Create and maintain documentation for test systems and processes.
  • Participate in product development projects by designing test strategies and building testers for new products.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities at contract manufacturers.
  • Ensure test capability and readiness at contract manufacturers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve testing issues in collaboration with manufacturing partners.
Collaboration Interfaces
  • R&D, Production (Manufacturing & Testing), Procurement, and Test Equipment Suppliers.
Qualifications
  • Solid understanding of electronics testing processes and systems.
  • Experience in electronics design and manufacturing.
  • Background in electrical systems (high-voltage experience is a plus).
  • Technical education at university level (automation background is an advantage).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with design tools such as LabVIEW, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks, and Pads (preferred).
  • Experience with PDM and ERP systems is beneficial.
  • Fluent in Finnish and English.
