Job summary

Dottir is a modern business law firm focused on technology. We advise on technology transactions, licensing, outsourcing, IT procurement and regulatory issues including AI, data protection and cyber security.

We are seeking an experienced technology lawyer to join our team in Helsinki; you will handle complex contracts, regulatory work, and mentor junior colleagues from day one, with a flexible hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of post-graduation experience in a law firm or as an in-house lawyer.
• Experience drafting and negotiating technology contracts and commercial contracts.
• Strong command of the regulatory landscape around emerging technologies.
• Experience with IT outsourcing or business-critical IT system projects.
• Mentor at heart, ready to support junior colleagues.
• Excellent spoken and written Finnish and English.

Responsibilities

• Move across transaction support, contract drafting and negotiations to regulatory work.
• Draft, review and negotiate technology and commercial contracts.
• Mentor junior colleagues and share knowledge across the team.
• Advise clients on regulatory issues in emerging technologies.

Our top-ranked Technology team advises companies through technology transactions, from commercial agreements, licensing and complex outsourcing arrangements to business-critical IT system procurement. They cover the regulatory side too: AI, data, privacy, data protection, cyber security and all other aspects of digital regulation.

Now, we are looking for an experienced technology lawyer to join the team.

What you bring:

• At least 5 years of post-graduation experience in a law firm or as an in-house lawyer is a must. We want someone who can move across the whole field – from transaction support, contract drafting and negotiations to regulatory work.
• Rock-solid experience drafting and negotiating technology contracts – and commercial contracts generally
• Strong command of the regulatory landscape around emerging technologies
• Not a stranger to IT outsourcing or business-critical IT system projects, whether on the customer or supplier side, in the private or public sector
• You're a mentor at heart – or ready to become one. You make time for junior colleagues: reviewing their work, answering their questions, helping them to find their feet
• Excellent spoken and written Finnish and English
