A leading global engineering group in Tampere, Finland seeks a Technical Trainer for its Automation Business Unit. The role involves developing training programs and delivering technical training both face-to-face and virtually. Candidates should have over 3 years of relevant experience, manage cloud environments, and have excellent presentation and collaboration skills. We are looking for a Technical Trainer for Business Unit (BU) Automation. BU Automation’s home is in Tampere; Finland and we work closely together with our Sandvik Mining (SM) sales areas to serve our customers. Automation BU is developing fully automated and robotic mining technologies for mobile machinery, including machine vision, machine learning and artificial intelligence with an aim to revolutionize the underground and surface mining industry.
Your role
As a Technical Trainer you possess strong collaboration skills, be passionate about technology, and have the ability to simplify complex topics.
You will contribute to develop Automation AutoMine training programs (with support from Subject Matter Experts and existing documentation), as well deliver hands on technical trainings (f2f and virtually) ensuring the quality and consistency of training throughout a course life cycle.
You will also be responsible for post-training activities and improvements. You will help improve the competencies and technical knowledge of technicians, operators and Sandvik customers from across the globe.
You work in close collaboration with other teams in Automation, especially with Product Line and R&D, as well other stakeholder groups within Automation & other Sandvik Divisions that support implementation of training program development and delivery.
In this role you will report to the Head of Learning Solutions, Automation and the role will be in Tampere, Finland. We are working on a hybrid model, but during the training delivery weeks your presence at the office is required. You have a willingness to travel 25% of the time.
