Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Technical Program Manager for Data Center/Construction in Finland. You will lead complex, multi-disciplinary construction projects, coordinating with engineers and operations while managing schedules, risks, and requirements.

Strong Finnish communication is required for client relationships in the region. You will oversee large-scale data center construction, launch detailed designs, manage delivery lifecycle, and build global vendor relationships.

• Manage a large construction site and delivery organisation, managing scopes related to construction projects or capital improvement projects.
• Be responsible for ensuring the development of detailed designs, managing construction (delivery, cost, quality and EHS), commissioning, close-out and hand-off to the operations team.
• Establish and maintain various delivery models and global relationships with multiple vendors.
• Create a growth plan and be involved in hiring/recruiting of talent in the areas of project management, field engineering, document control, technical writing, etc.
• Research and implement construction means and methods of data center equipment and facilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in project and construction management.
• Experience with commercial contract management and procurement.
• Experience in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience managing construction projects, within an international working environment.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working with (data center) equipment/environments (including switchgear, generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, controls, security monitoring systems, fire safety systems), with an understanding of start up/commissioning processes.
• Experience managing vendor relationships, with an understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry.
• Ability to build excellent relationships and deliver on action-orientated tasks.
• Ability to communicate in Finnish fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
