Job summary

Kesko Oyj seeks a technical manager to lead the technical solution architecture of our product information system for grocery retail. You will guide development, ensure quality, and coordinate with IT service providers to deliver reliable data to digital services and analytics.

The role requires five years in product information or master data, strong Java/JavaScript skills, and expertise in Azure integration services, REST, and cloud-based integrations.

Job description

We are looking for a technical expert for Kesko's grocery retail product information system. Product information is central to everything in the retail sector and enables future capabilities, e.g., the use of AI. Through product information, you will get a broad view of retail applications and be able to influence how we ensure high-quality and timely product information for digital services, analytics and operational needs.

About the position

The team is responsible for the development and maintenance of the product information system and integrations in close cooperation with the business and IT service providers. We act as experts in the technical processes of product information and are also responsible for the IT services of the system entity.

As a technical manager, you are responsible for the technical solution architecture of the system, the lifecycles of technical components and the infrastructure requirements. Your duties include the implementation of development work both by guiding the development carried out by the IT service provider and you are able to perform configurations and small-scale coding yourself. The quality and continuity of our solutions are important to you and you take care of testing and documentation. You resolve production error situations together with the team and IT service providers.

What we expect from you

• Experience as a technical expert in product information or master data systems for at least 5 years.
• Good knowledge of database and software development technologies. Configuration of product technology platforms is familiar or you are excited to learn and master the configuration of new technology. You know the Java and JavaScript programming languages and can use them to implement business rules, validations and automations for product information management.
• Expertise in Azure integration services (Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management), REST interfaces, JSON/XML messages and the design and implementation of cloud-based integrations.
• Good knowledge and practical experience in the development of data processes and integration technologies.
• Knowledge of the retail industry is beneficial.
• Appropriate university/university of applied sciences degree.
• Fluent Finnish and English language skills.
• Good cooperation and interaction skills for working with different stakeholders.
