Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Medium Voltage Solid State Transformer domain at its Vantaa campus. You will define and maintain product requirements, interfaces, and traceability across multi-disciplinary teams to support rigorous verification and validation activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, electrical product development, requirements engineering, or verification and validation of complex technical products.
• Experience in developing and managing requirements, defining interfaces, ensuring traceability, and planning verifications.
• Familiarity with model-based systems engineering and requirements management tools.
• Knowledge of power electronics or medium-voltage equipment is an advantage.
• Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and meticulous documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system, subsystem, and component requirements based on customer and stakeholder needs.
• Define, document, and maintain electrical, mechanical, firmware, control, and interface definitions between system components.
• Support model-based systems engineering and maintain models in engineering tools.
• Allocate requirements to subsystems with relevant teams and ensure traceability from needs to design and tests.
• Collaborate with validation engineers to define verification methods and acceptance criteria.
• Monitor coverage, identify gaps, and support timely resolution before design reviews.
• Contribute to system architecture, trade studies, risk analysis, and change-impact assessment.
• Link standards and regulatory requirements to product requirements and verification evidence.
