Job description

Due to planned growth, Easat Finland Oy is seeking a skilled and motivated System Installation Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience in complex, safety-critical environments and who enjoys technical fieldwork and system integration projects. About the role

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will participate in the assembly, integration, verification, and commissioning of Air Traffic Control and Coastal Surveillance radar hardware. The central part of the work will be handling of electronic devices and cables, inspecting subsystems and ensuring that they match their design and work as intended. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues in Finland and the UK, as well as with customers and third-party suppliers, ensuring reliable performance and technical excellence in every delivery.

Work tasks

  • Participate in radar electronic equipment factory assembly and acceptance
  • Perform on-site installation of radar electronic equipment and cabling
  • Participate in equipment configuring and on-site commissioning
  • Conduct site surveys and participate in customer trainings
  • Perform periodic and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting of operational equipment during site visits and remotely
  • Communicate to the R&D and Sales teams about the condition of on-site equipment to facilitate system improvements and boost sales
  • Participate in creation and maintaining of project technical documentation (creation of diagrams, minor changes in manuals and description)

We are looking for

  • University degree in Electrical or Automation Engineer, or related field
  • Solid understanding of complex electronic systems and installations
  • Experience in mechanical subassembly and equipment integration
  • Experience in electrical schematics/boards modifications and verifications (PCB inspections)
  • Fluent communication skills in English
  • Willingness to travel globally to customer sites and between Finland and UK facilities (up to 4 months per annum, individual trips are approximately 2-3 weeks long)
