Job summary

VR Group is seeking a Strategy & Transformation Lead to drive cross-functional transformation initiatives across the Nordics, based in Helsinki or Stockholm. You will work with the CEO and leadership team on critical strategic priorities.

The role requires 5+ years in consulting or in-house strategy, a master's degree, and a proven ability to turn insights into tangible results, establish new ways of working, and lead governance across functions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of work experience from management consulting or demanding in-house strategy roles.
  • Proven track record of identifying strategic opportunities and turning them into actionable plans.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Excellent communication skills at all organization levels.
  • Proven track record of establishing and implementing structured new ways of working.
  • Master's degree in Technology, Economics, Business, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead company-wide transformation programs from identification through implementation with measurable value.
  • Advise senior leaders on strategy development and transformation.
  • Identify, evaluate and prioritise strategic improvement opportunities across units.
  • Drive strategic development: operational efficiency, commercial excellence, digitalization.
  • Develop and improve transformation governance, PM methodologies and execution capabilities.
  • Lead strategy processes and manage governance for a designated business unit.

We are looking for a Strategy & Transformation Lead to drive some of VR's most important cross-functional transformation initiatives and help shape the future direction of our businesses across the Nordics. You will join our Strategy & PMO team in Helsinki or Stockholm and work closely with the CEO, VR Leadership Team, and business unit management teams on the company's most critical strategic priorities.

You have a strong track record of driving improvements and delivering changein complex stakeholder environments.You enjoy challenging conventional thinking and bringing together diverse perspectives to identify the best solutions.You are skilled at engaging stakeholders at all levels, building confidence, and turning insights into tangible results.

Main responsibilities include

Lead company-wide transformation programs from opportunity identification through implementation, ensuring tangible business impact and value realization

Act as astrategic advisor andtrustedpartner to seniorbusiness leadersonstrategy development and transformation

Identify, evaluate, and prioritize strategic improvement opportunities across businesses and functions

Lead strategic development initiatives, for example in operational efficiency, commercial excellence, and digitalization

Develop and continuously improve transformation governance, project management methodologies, and execution capabilities across the organization

Facilitate and lead key elements of VR's strategy processes and, where relevant, take responsibility for the strategy and transformation agenda of a designated business unit or major function, including participation in its management team

You have
  • 5+ years of work experience from management consulting or demanding in-house business development, strategy, ortransformationrole
  • Proven track record of concretely identifying new strategic improvement opportunities and turning them into actionable and measurable plans
  • Ability to challenge the status quo
