Job summary

VR Group – VR FleetCare is seeking an MRP Analyst for the Purchasing team in Helsinki, Tampere, or Pieksämäki. Join us to optimize material planning and ensure timely deliveries in a fast-paced rail logistics environment.

You will leverage SQL and Power BI to analyse data, balance inventory and capital, and produce actionable insights. Fluent Finnish and English are essential, and collaboration with stakeholders across procurement and production is key.

Qualifications

  • University degree in production economics, logistics, SCM or IT.
  • Experience in material control, supply chain planning or MRP.
  • Understanding of BOM, inventory management and material control parameters.
  • Extensive experience in data analysis and reporting and analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Power BI's DAX language.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and identify development targets.
  • Good cooperation and interaction skills with stakeholders.
  • Proactive and independent working style.
  • Calm, systematic, and analytical problem solving.

We are looking for an MRP Analyst for the Purchasing team in Helsinki, Tampere, or Pieksämäki.

The Purchasing team operates as part of the Supply Chain unit and is responsible for ensuring the availability and timeliness of materials, components, and services, maintaining item inventory levels, and taking care of the entire order-delivery process together with stakeholders.

The MRP Analyst is responsible for developing material requirements planning and supply chain steering by utilizing analytics so that material availability, inventory efficiency, and delivery capability are in an optimal balance.

Your most significant areas of responsibility will be:

ownership of material requirements planning, optimization of working capital in the supply chain, mapping of failure models and related needs, and producing reports and data analyses supporting the supply chain.

You have:
  • a suitable technical or commercial university degree (e.g., production economics, logistics, supply chain management, or information technology)
  • experience in material control, supply chain planning, or material requirements planning (MRP)
  • understanding of product structures (BOM), inventory management, and material control parameters
  • extensive experience in data analysis and reporting and analytics tools
  • proficiency in SQL and Power BI's DAX language and the ability to utilize data in business development
  • ability to analyze large masses of data and identify development targets based on them
  • good cooperation and interaction skills for working with different stakeholders
  • a proactive and independent working style and the ability to put development ideas into practice
  • a calm, systematic, and analytical approach to problem solving
  • fluent Finnish and English language skills
