Job summary

Stora Enso Group in Oulu seeks a senior Business Unit Controller to lead the local business-controlling team and partner with the BU Head on strategic planning and value creation. The role focuses on translating production and commercial performance into financial insight and driving cost efficiency across multiple lines, including a new consumer board ramp-up.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of how operational drivers affect financial results, incl. production volumes, costs, margins and forecast accuracy.
Proven leadership capability to develop a lean, capable team and build trust across functions.
Commercial and analytical mindset with ability to switch between strategy and hands-on problem solving.
Experience with ERP, planning, reporting and BI tools; interest in automation and AI for decision support.

Responsibilities

Lead the Oulu business-controlling team and develop clear, collaborative ways of working.
Partner with BU Head on planning, profitability improvement, investments and priorities.
Establish performance management across volumes, costs, margins, working capital and capex.
Support ramp-up of new line with scenario analysis and timely risk/opportunity escalation.
Provide financial governance across operations and allocate costs between lines.
Develop reporting, planning and controlling processes with data, automation and AI.
Challenge senior stakeholders with facts and operational insight.
