Job summary

Wolt is seeking a Staff Mobile Engineer focused on iOS with strong Android experience. You will lead complex cross-team initiatives across large-scale consumer apps, shaping how customers discover and buy retail products in a multi-app ecosystem.

You will mentor engineers, establish engineering standards, and promote AI-enabled tooling to move faster while maintaining quality and reliability. Helsinki or Berlin-based role with high-impact ownership.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in mobile development, especially iOS, with modern best practices and performance tuning.
• Experience operating at Staff Engineer level or equivalent scope, leading cross-team initiatives.
• Track record on large-scale native consumer applications split ownership across teams.
• Pragmatic, impact-oriented mindset with action bias in fast-changing environments.
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to a culture of learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-team initiatives through design, implementation, launch, and ownership with stakeholders.
• Drive native iOS and Android initiatives within shared apps, balancing speed and quality.
• Develop and evolve server-driven UI approaches for configurable, component-based views.
• Define standards for architecture, testing, release processes, observability, and reliability.
• Champion AI-enabled tooling that accelerates delivery without sacrificing quality.
