Job summary

Wolt in Helsinki seeks a Senior Mobile Engineer, iOS, to own native iOS features for customer journeys within our shared apps. You will partner with product, design and engineering to deliver reliable, scalable mobile experiences and contribute to meaningful product initiatives.

The role emphasizes SDUI, cross‑team collaboration, and mentoring while leveraging AI tools to boost productivity without compromising quality and security. Equity awards may be considered at review time.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building and shipping high‑quality native iOS applications.
• Experience on large‑scale consumer mobile apps with multiple teams.
• Solid knowledge of mobile architecture, testing, performance, observability, modularity, CI/CD and App Store release processes.
• Experience collaborating with product and design to solve customer problems.
• Pragmatic, product‑minded, balances quality, speed and maintainability.
• Comfort in evolving environments and clear, practical solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience mentoring other engineers, growing mobile skills.
• Experience with Android and/or backend engineering is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Building, improving and maintaining native iOS features for customer‑facing journeys within our shared consumer apps.
• Partnering with product, design and engineering to turn customer needs into simple, reliable mobile experiences.
• Contributing to design, implementation, launch and ownership of meaningful product initiatives.
• Working with server‑driven UI (SDUI) to build configurable views across teams.
• Making decisions around architecture, testing, performance, observability, release processes.
• Collaborating with engineers across teams to ensure integration and shared patterns.
• Supporting and mentoring full‑stack engineers developing mobile expertise.
• Using AI‑enabled tools to improve productivity while maintaining quality and security.
