Responsibilities

• Define and drive the architecture runway for the Standardized Corporate Loans agile release train and support teams in designing complex, business‑critical software solutions.
• Communicate architectural decisions and trade‑offs effectively to both business stakeholders and engineering teams, adapting the level of detail to the audience.
• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable, robust, and compliant technical solutions
• Ensure solutions comply with security, risk, regulatory, and data governance requirements in a highly regulated financial environment.
• Actively participate in solution design and software development, providing hands‑on guidance, proof‑of‑concepts, design reviews, and critical implementation decisions.
• Drive adoption of modern architectural approaches, including microservices, monolith, and event‑driven architectures
• Conduct architecture and design reviews, identify technical risks early, and actively drive mitigation actions.

About Our Team

Meet the Standardized Corporate Loans agile release train, consisting of 5 teams. Our role is to evolve end-to-end loan origination and credit assessment processes with increased self-service and straight-through-processing that supports both regulatory requirements and future business capabilities.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conduct architecture and design reviews, identify technical risks early, and actively drive mitigation actions. Support teams with logical data models and solution level design details to ensure scalability and robustness.

Background and skills include:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in software development, including guiding development teams
• Strong hands‑on experience with software architecture and system design
• Proven experience designing distributed systems and service‑based architectures
• Ability to communicate architecture using appropriate modelling techniques (e.g. UML, C4 Model, sequence diagrams, data models) and present designs to both business and technical audiences.

Nice‑to‑have qualifications

• Experience from the banking industry.
• Experience with event streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with Java, cloud‑native architectures, APIs, event‑driven integrations, and modern software engineering practices is considered an advantage.
• Experience with workflow orchestration platforms such as Pega, Camunda, Temporal, Zeebe, or similar
• Experience designing highly scalable enterprise systems
