Job summary

CraftLeap Oy is recruiting a software developer to help build production and inventory management software used by Finnish manufacturers. You will work directly with the founder on a hybrid setup, with emphasis on remote collaboration and occasional on-site work in the Seinäjoki area.

The role focuses on designing and implementing features, UI development, and maintaining code while growing the product. Ideal candidates have experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Angular/Vue, REST APIs,

Would you like to build software that real companies use every day?

CraftLeap is a software company founded in 2023. We develop easy-to-use software, particularly for production and inventory management, for companies in the manufacturing industry. Our product is already in active use by companies across Finland – and now we are looking for our first software developer to join us and help build the next stage of CraftLeap.

Our first customer joined us in 2023. We now have almost 20 customers, with the majority joining us during this year. Growth has been strong, and new customers are continuously coming in.

This is an exciting stage to join us if you want to have a real impact on a growing product.

What will you be doing?

You will be developing CraftLeap’s web-based software together with the founder. Your work will include, for example:

• designing and implementing new features
• developing user interfaces and functionality
• improving and maintaining existing code
• investigating and fixing bugs
• developing the software based on customer needs
• building new integrations and backend services

As the product continues to grow, you will also have the opportunity to influence what we build and how we build it.

What kind of developer are we looking for?

We are primarily looking for someone who already has experience in software development and is comfortable taking responsibility for their work.

Developers at the early stages of their careers are also very welcome to apply.

Experience with technologies such as these is a plus:

• JavaScript or TypeScript
• React, Angular, Vue or other modern web development
• web-based application development
• REST APIs and integrations
• cloud services and cloud-based databases
• Git and modern software development tools

We are not looking for a long list of technologies on your CV. What matters most to us is that you can build working software and solve problems independently.

What is it like to work at CraftLeap?

CraftLeap is a small company, so you won’t be one developer among a hundred others.

You will work directly with the founder. Decisions can be made quickly, new ideas can be tested, and your work will have a visible impact on the product.

The position is hybrid, with a strong focus on remote work. We do, however, hope that you can work together with us in the Seinäjoki area when needed.
