As a Launchpad in Engineering Operations, you’ll learn how to make engineering teams run smoothly — through smart processes, data-driven insights, and strong collaboration.

Over six months, you’ll get hands-on experience supporting our R&D organization, streamlining workflows, and helping leadership make better, faster decisions.

Here’s What You’ll Do at Smartly…

• Prepare and support recurring key meetings (e.g., community forums, demos) by structuring agendas, gathering inputs, and tracking follow-ups.
• Administer and improve the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, JPD) to keep our ways of working consistent and effective.
• Create, review, and maintain dashboards for leadership and teams to track delivery, quality, and operational health.
• Write and review SQL queries to ensure accuracy of reporting and support data-driven decision making.
• Collaborate with engineering managers, product operations, and leadership to streamline processes and surface insights.

Here’s What We’re Looking For…

• You’ve recently completed (or are about to complete) your degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence administration (dashboards, workflows, templates).
• Strong SQL skills for building and validating reports and dashboards.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prepare content and structure meetings effectively.
• Clear communicator who can work across teams and ensure alignment.
• A proactive mindset, always looking for ways to improve tools and processes.

Nice to Have…

• Familiarity with engineering metrics frameworks (DORA, SPACE, SLIs/SLOs).
• Experience with BI tools or data visualization (Looker, Tableau, etc.).
• Exposure to product or engineering operations environments.
