Job description

We are seeking a sheet metal CNC programmer for Vaasa to join the production team. The role involves working with steel sheet components and directly contributing to production efficiency, material utilization, and delivery reliability. You will be responsible for ensuring that the programming for sheet metal machining centers and laser cutting machines is timely and meets production needs. Your tasks include reading CAD drawings and technical blueprints and creating NC programs for laser cutting and bending centers. You will plan the placement of sheet parts on the sheet metal stock to minimize waste, determine cutting sequences, required tools, and machine settings, and participate in process optimization of production. Previous experience programming bending and/or laser cutting machines and good reading of technical drawings are required. The role requires meticulous and methodical work habits and the ability to understand production contexts. CAD drawings and technical blueprints reading and NC programming are required. The position is permanent with a potential path to permanent employment with the client later.
