We now have an opportunity to recruit aService Engineerto join our Editron business unit, offering onsite and back-office support, commissioning and commissioning support of Editron system and component deliveries for Editron customers.

This role will involve travel across territory to customer sites on a very regular basis, but will also involvework with Production, R&D, other service and technical support teams when required.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Customer service, support and troubleshooting: Solving Editron customer system-related problems, providing support and help for customers, and giving instructions and training customer. Delivering solutions in cooperation with the service team, R&D and other relevant internal stakeholders
  • Aftersales: Supporting equipment repair process and advising customers on spare parts and other aftersales issues
  • Service Documentation: Preparing instructions, training material, and other service documentation in cooperation with team
  • Technical Support: Giving general technical support and finding solutions in cooperation with the service team
  • Training: Training customers to use and maintain Editron equipment

We would expect candidates to display:

• Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering, alongside related safety training or certification
• Proven track record within a service or customer-facing environment
• Technical problem-solving skills and understanding of electrical drawings and documents
• Customer and service-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills, and a systematic way of working
• Team player with a positive mind-set and desire to learn new things
• IT literacy with skills in data entry and management. Experience using SAP, ERP systems, service ticketing systems or similar would be useful but not essential
• Ability to work independently in a challenging environment and ambitious situations
• Proactive approach
• Strong English (ability to understand and communicate technical terminology), with other languages being advantageous
