Overview

We are now looking for a SEO SPECIALIST to join our newly established Digital Commerce unit, which is at the heart of delivering our omnichannel customer experience. In this role you will support Performance & SEO Manager in driving customer acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth through data-driven SEO strategies across organic digital channels. You can be located in either Finland or Estonia. We operate in a hybrid model, so approx. 50% of the week you will be at our department store.

Where is your expertise needed?

As an SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for maximizing Stockmann\'s organic visibility, ensuring that both technical SEO and content SEO are executed to deliver measurable visibility, traffic, and conversion improvements. You will drive hands-on optimization, optimize SEO content creation, and ensure Stockmann\'s digital commerce channels are fully discoverable by search engines and AI-driven discovery tools.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Execute SEO strategy across markets (Finland, Estonia, Latvia)
  • Ensure content aligns with search intent, incorporates structured data, and is optimized for AI discoverability
  • Optimize product pages, category pages, and editorial content for search intent and conversion
  • Conduct regular technical SEO audits (site speed, mobile responsiveness, indexation, metadata, site architecture, product schema, structured data, internal linking, hreflang, Core Web Vitals) and partner with development to implement fixes
  • Ensure clean site architecture and URL strategy to maximize search performance
  • Collaborate with Category Sales, Growth, Performance Marketing, Brand Marketing & Offering teams to ensure SEO insights inform campaign planning, content creation, and audience strategies
  • Produce actionable SEO insights & reporting frameworks to support decision-making & optimization
What are we looking for?

To succeed in this role you should have a minimum of 3 years\' experience in SEO (content + technical) in e‑Commerce or omnichannel retail. You have a proven track record of driving measurable organic growth and improving visibility, traffic, and conversion, backed by strong technical SEO expertise.

We also value:

  • Commercial mindset and sharpness — ability to connect SEO impact with campaigns, product trends, and customer demand
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms, tools and digital analytics (e.g., SFCC, Shopify or other platforms, Google Analytics, PowerBI, PIM)
  • Excellent skills & hands-on experience with SEO tools (Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog). Familiarity with AI-assisted SEO and content tools is a plus.
  • Expertise in site performance, Core Web Vitals, and mobile optimization as ranking factors, working with dev/UX teams
  • Understanding of AI-driven search and ability to optimize content for AI discoverability. Knowledge of entity-based SEO and emerging formats (image, video, voice search) is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical skills with data-driven decision making, ability to build and communicate SEO dashboards and translate data into clear recommendations for commercial and content teams
  • Strong growth hacking, CRO, and UX experience with data visualization and reporting

You communicate fluently in English (written and spoken) and in either Finnish or Estonian. You will work with many stakeholders, so excellent collaboration/teamworking skills are a must. You are self-driven, customer-centric, and a problem solver.
