Bosch Sensortec develops MEMS inertial sensors for smartphones and wearables. The team drives projects from concept to mass production, enabling real-time motion detection, indoor navigation, gesture and activity recognition, and optical image stabilization (OIS). To strengthen our Finland development center in Espoo we are looking for motivated candidates with expertise in inertial sensors and sensor systems.

Responsibilities
  • You participate in enabling exciting use cases in consumer technology. You coordinate interdisciplinary areas for the development of the next generation of sensors from development to mass production.
  • You are responsible for test definitions and verification of the sensors overall performance, including MEMS, ASIC, package, testing and SW.
  • You define the test strategy and drive the implementation of test procedures and infrastructure.
  • You plan, organize, implement, evaluate and analyze complex experiments and measurements.
  • You have a good understanding of failure modes in order to develop solutions to achieve the sensor target requirements.
  • You document the results and present these in project reviews with internal stakeholders and to customers.
  • With your base in our Finland location you have close interaction with ASIC development as well as established close interlinks to the HQ in Reutlingen. You support marketing and sales in the product definition and in the assessment of the competition.

  • Working Practice: Very good decision-making abilities and positive team player with cross cultural competence.
  • Experience: Strong industry experience with deep demonstrable understanding of gyroscopes and acceleration sensors, ideally MEMS-based systems.
  • Qualifications: Understanding of sensor system design and related test concepts and strategies. Solid practical experience and proficiency in statistical analysis and data evaluation in Matlab or Python.
  • Languages: Fluent English, both spoken and written
  • Education: Master or equivalent degree in Microsystems Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, Information Technology or similar major. PhD graduates are welcome to apply.
