Job summary

Nordea Bank Norge ASA is seeking a Senior UX Designer with exceptional visual and interaction design expertise and experience building and scaling design systems. This temporary 9-month position starts in December 2026 to cover a maternity leave.

You will join Team Testdreiv, the Design Language and Design System team within Nordea's Group Digital, collaborating across Helsinki, Copenhagen and Gdynia to maintain a unified design language and ensure consistent, accessible digital services for

Qualifications

Proven track record leading UX/UI design initiatives and design systems.
Strong expertise across interaction design, information architecture, and high-fidelity visual design.
Experience partnering with developers to translate design tokens into code.
Proficient with modern design tools (Figma) and managing a component library.

Responsibilities

Design System Stewardship: Maintain, update, and scale our design system across the product ecosystem.
Community Liaison: Bridge between design and development to streamline integration.
Design Advocacy: Promote our design language and best practices across the organization.
End-to-End Design: Create high-quality interaction, UX, and visual designs for complex workflows.
AI Tool Integration: Leverage AI tools to optimize design workflows.
