Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Aiven in Finland is seeking an AI-native backend engineer to help turn our billing systems into the Monetization Platform. You will own design and implementation of metering, pricing, invoicing and payments services in Python that every product relies on.
You’ll build self-serve APIs and SDKs for product teams and customers, ensure correctness at scale with robust reconciliation and idempotency, and work with Finance, GTM and Support to ship reliable, AI-driven platform capabilities.
We're a global team of over 400 people, working together to push the boundaries of open-source technology and multi-cloud solutions. Our vision is to help developers, builders, and creators bring their ideas to life with speed and simplicity, by providing a cloud data platform that makes open-source databases, search, streaming, and application infrastructure easily accessible to everyone.
The Monetization Platform team owns how Aiven meters, prices, bills and gets paid for everything it sells.
We are building the monetization platform with a long-term roadmap: metering, pricing and packaging, credits, invoicing, payments and revenue data as self-serve capabilities with clear APIs and clear ownership. Our ambition is a monetization platform that serves internal and external customers, humans and agents alike.
We are part of Aiven's Platform, alongside the Access & Identity and Console & IaC teams, so monetization, identity and the developer surface are designed together.
We are hiring an AI-native backend engineer to help turn our billing systems into Aiven's Monetization Platform. We are open to a mid-level or a senior engineer. What matters most is that you already build software with AI as a core part of how you work, and that you want to own a platform, not just ship tickets.
Our global benefits are designed to help you thrive and grow, personally and professionally:
