Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Sr. Skilled Technician for the Facilities Maintenance Division. You will lead service requests across multiple buildings and perform advanced trades tasks, guiding junior staff and coordinating with contractors.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with trained trades experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass CJIS and drug screening. On-call rotation and weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with trade-specific training.
• Four years of related skilled trades experience.
• One year of lead supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must pass Drug Screen, Physical, and CJIS.

Responsibilities

• Leads and oversees demand service requests from multiple buildings.
• Performs complex skilled tasks and guides lower level staff.
• Assists in scheduling planning for trades and resources.
• Maintains repair logs and updates drawings/diagrams.
• Coordinates with vendors and contractors as needed.
• Works weekends and on-call as required.
