Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician I for the Municipal Complex. You will perform building equipment maintenance, repair and installation in the Facilities Division.

Qualifications include HS diploma or GED with HVAC or electrical training and two years related experience; valid driver's license preferred. Evening/weekend work may be required; benefits include holidays, medical, pension, and PTO.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED supplemented by specialized training in HVAC, electrical technology, or a related field.
• Two (2) years responsible experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and electrical systems
• Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and repair of all electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems alongside licensed specialist.
• Installs outlets and replaces switches, light bulbs and fixtures.
• Monitors electrical and electronic equipment including air conditioning and heating systems.
• Makes minor repairs to door hinges and locks.

Education

HS diploma/GED with HVAC/electrical training

Two years experience in HVAC and electrical systems maintenance

Valid Driver’s License

Pay Range: $23.92 - $26.57/hr.

A Facilities Maintenance Technician l job is available with the City of Fort Worth Property Management Department within its Facilities Division. The Facilities Division provides City Departments with world class facility planning, design, construction, renovation and maintenance services. The Division is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for building equipment maintenance, repair and installation at Municipal Complex facility.

Minimum Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED supplemented by specialized training in HVAC, electrical technology, or a related field
• Two (2) years responsible experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and electrical systems
• Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in large commercial (10,000 sq ft +) buildings preferred.
• Holds Certificates in related fields of profession: Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Building Controls
