Department: DNV Cyber - Managed Services, Service Integration, Service Engineering

We're seeking a Senior Security Architect to support our SOC operations as part of the Service Engineering team in DNV Cyber's (formerly Nixu) Managed Services.

In this customer-facing role, you will lead the design and implementation of advanced security monitoring solutions using SIEMs, XDRs, and related technologies within the Microsoft, Palo Alto Cortex, or Splunk security ecosystems, depending on your specialisation. To excel in this role, we expect you to collaborate effectively with internal teams, as well as customer technical and non-technical teams.

Key responsibilities
  • Advise customers on security monitoring and incident response solutions by consulting and working closely with the customer.
  • Lead customer-facing security improvements from initial architecture design through deployment, optimization, and successful delivery.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, customer security teams, and CISOs to align security architecture with business needs.
  • Perform threat modeling and advise on secure architecture and integration designs.

Qualifications

You are a proactive, hands-on professional with at least 3 years of experience in designing and implementing security solutions using Microsoft, Palo Alto Cortex, or Splunk technologies.

You bring
  • Experience in customer-facing security projects and consultations.
  • Strong working knowledge of one or more of the following:
  • Microsoft Defender, Sentinel & Azure security stack
  • Palo Alto Cortex
  • Splunk
  • Strong expertise in SIEM design, implementation, log analytics, and query languages (KQL, XQL, or SPL).
  • Familiarity with threat detection, incident response, security automation, and system integration.
  • Ability to communicate well-reasoned security recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken).
You will stand out if you also have
  • Relevant certifications (such as AZ-500, SC-200, XDR/XSIAM Engineer, Splunk Core/Enterprise, CISSP, ISSAP, ISSEP, CCSP, CASP+, etc.)
  • Scripting or automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., ARM templates, Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Knowledge of hybrid or multi-cloud security architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Understanding of Zero Trust principles and practical implementation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview, data loss prevention, or web application firewalls.
  • Familiarity with security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, OWASP Top 10, ...)
  • Fluent Finnish communication skills (written and spoken).
