Job summary

SearchApi is seeking a senior Ruby on Rails engineer to become the technical backbone of our product. You'll own the hardest PRs, raise the bar for the codebase, and eventually reduce the CEO's technical load.

This is not a management role; it's hands-on and high-trust, requiring production-grade shipping across all product areas. As part of a lean, bootstrapped team, you will work directly with the CEO/CTO, shape technical direction, and build enterprise features, billing workflows, and

Qualifications

• Extensive Ruby on Rails experience with production apps.
• Strong code review and mentoring skills.
• Ability to ship production code across all product areas.
• Experience integrating Stripe billing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and deployment pipelines.
• Security-conscious development.
