Overview

This role is pivotal in driving innovation and excellence across our EMEA level development initiatives. In some cases, you may also take on roles such as SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or Release Manager. These roles focus on enabling Agile delivery and coordination across teams and may differ from traditional project management responsibilities. As a Senior R&D Project Manager, you will be responsible for.

Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Defining and managing project timelines, deliverables, and quality standards.
  • Risk & Change Management: Ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of risks and managing change effectively.
  • Budgeting: Overseeing project budgets and product cost control.
  • Resource Management: Allocating and managing resources throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and guide cross-functional, multi-national teams with a collaborative mindset.
  • Cross-Site Coordination: Align development activities across EMEA locations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Representing project interests to regional and global stakeholders.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Promoting best practices and knowledge exchange across sites and departments.
  • External Collaboration: Partner with global development organizations to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Agile Facilitation (as needed): When acting as RTE or Release Manager, facilitate Agile ceremonies, support team alignment, and drive continuous delivery across the SAFe framework.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in leading software development projects, ideally in the smart energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of SAFe and Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms and modern software technologies.
  • Excellent team leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-site projects with diverse teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Certification in SAFe, Scrum, or Project Management (e.g., PMP).
  • Experience working in a global matrix organization.
