Job summary

AFRY is recruiting an experienced Chief Process Engineer for the Chemicals & Biorefining, Mining & Metals process engineering team. The work is global, and the primary location can be Helsinki area or Oulu. AFRY supports a hybrid working model.

You will lead process engineering in your design area, coordinate basic and detail engineering, and share your know-how with a multinational team. A Master of Science in Metallurgy and 10+ years in design are required, with travel willingness and English

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Metallurgy or similar education.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in process design.
• Experience with basic and detail engineering in mining/metals.
• Safety-focused mindset and strong collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English; Finnish/Swedish is a plus; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for process engineering in your own design area.
• Lead and coordinate process engineering in basic and detail engineering projects.
• Develop personal skills and participate in internal development projects.
