Offensive Security

Our offensive team works proactively, helping organizations and companies protect themselves against cyber breaches by identifying vulnerabilities before they are exploited. Our dedicated team members collaborate to perform assignments such as penetration tests, security assessments, and red team engagements.

The Role

In this role, you will be part of the Offensive Security Team at Truesec, with the opportunity to work with some of the best security specialists in the world. As a Senior Penetration Tester you will primarily conduct advanced security reviews and penetration tests, and you will lead and drive projects with a colleague. You will lead assignments from start to finish, maintain close contact with customers for initiation meetings, and guide other team members within projects.

Assignments are technical in nature, focusing on identifying vulnerabilities in enterprise environments. Typical projects include penetration testing of mobile applications, Linux and Microsoft environments, AWS, Google, and IOT/OT, or advanced red and purpleTeam engagements.

To succeed, you are an expert in a specific area or technology and actively mentor others to implement improvements.

Required Skills

You should meet most of the following requirements, or be an expert in a few:

• Experience in penetration testing of enterprise environments.
• Ability to identify vulnerabilities in both Windows and Linux systems.
• Experience in network-based penetration tests.
• Experience in credentials extraction and lateral movement.
• Ability to identify vulnerabilities on mobile applications.
• Experience in penetration testing of IOT/OT systems.
• Ability to identify vulnerabilities in cloud environments.
• Ability to present findings to a non-technical audience.

Bonus Skills

• Sysadmin experience.
• Ability to understand arbitrary programming language.
• Full proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Experience of code assisted/code review-based penetration testing.
• Relevant security related certifications.

As a senior penetration tester, you actively stay up to date with the latest technologies and may participate in forums or networks within offensive security. At Truesec we create awareness and regularly attend events as guests or keynote speakers.

Due to the sensitivity of our assignments, we require Finnish citizenship, citizenship in an EU country, or a Finnish work permit.
