Job summary

Helen Ydinvoima Oy is seeking an experienced Nuclear Safety Manager to lead safety assessments for the future nuclear facility in Helsinki. The role requires establishing the safety framework, guiding multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring safety requirements are integrated throughout design, construction and operation.

As a senior position, you will work with authorities, plant suppliers and internal stakeholders to support licensing and regulatory processes, and to advance Helsinki's transition

Qualifications

• 10+ years in nuclear power industry.
• Proven track record in safety analyses or safety cases.
• Experience with licensing/regulatory processes.
• Fluent Finnish and English.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead nuclear safety assessments and analyses across the facility lifecycle.
• Develop and implement the safety assessment framework.
• Plan and manage safety evaluations and safety case development.
• Guide internal and external experts.
• Ensure safety requirements are integrated into design and development.
• Coordinate with authorities, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Support licensing activities and regulatory processes.
• Resolve complex safety issues with multidisciplinary teams.
