Job summary

Skylo is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Protocol Stack team in Espoo, Finland. In this role, you will focus on the development and optimization of 5G NR-NTN protocol implementations, working directly with standards and systems teams on cutting-edge satellite connectivity technology.

The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of experience in wireless telecom protocol development, strong proficiency in C++, and a Master's or PhD in a relevant field. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in wireless telecom protocol development.
• Strong proficiency in C++ (C++14/17) with experience writing production-grade software.
• Solid understanding of 5G NR Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain C++ implementations of 5G NR-NTN L2 and L3 protocol stacks.
• Implement NTN-specific L2 adaptations and RRC enhancements.
• Collaborate with Core Network and MNO integration teams.
