Job summary

Virta Ltd in Finland is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the technical direction of our native iOS and Android apps. You will shape architecture, maintainability, and quality across platforms, mentoring peers and collaborating with product and design to deliver reliable driver experiences.

You will work in a hybrid setting, applying deep mobile expertise to scale our eMSP and Driver Services across Europe, while maintaining high standards and performance.

Qualifications

• Production mobile apps on iOS and Android that are robust and maintainable.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin (Jetpack Compose) for Android and Swift (SwiftUI) for iOS.
• Proficiency with modern concurrency models: Swift Concurrency and Kotlin Coroutines/Flow.
• Track record of architecting modular, testable mobile codebases.
• Experience mentoring engineers and setting quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical direction of iOS and Android codebases, including architecture and patterns.
• Build the most demanding features end-to-end, including payment and driver management flows.
• Define testing strategy and release discipline with the team.
• Mentor mobile engineers through reviews, pairing, and feedback.
• Collaborate with backend, product, and design to ensure cohesive experience across platforms.
