Job summary

Specialist International Data Centre Contractor in Helsinki is seeking an experienced MEP Lead to coordinate and deliver mechanical and electrical packages on a major data centre development. You will lead multidisciplinary teams on a site-based project, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery through all phases from coordination to commissioning and handover.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
• Proven experience in an MEP Lead or Senior MEP role on large-scale construction or data centre projects.
• Excellent understanding of MEP systems, installation processes and commissioning.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams on site.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing programme, costs and resources.
• Detail-focused with a strong commitment to quality and delivery deadlines.
• Effective communicator with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead Health and Safety across all MEP activities on site.
• Manage programme delivery, ensuring all MEP works are aligned with project timelines.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical teams, subcontractors and site engineers.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical submissions to ensure accuracy and buildability.
• Drive quality control across installations, inspections and commissioning stages.
• Monitor and report on progress, risks and performance to senior management.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
• Identify and implement design and construction improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
