We’re looking for a skilled and forward-thinking Senior Lecturer to teach, lead and develop this exciting new programme to work on our Kotka Campus. The workplace is in Finland. The position is permanent and full-time and work starts on January, 2026, or as agreed. The position is subject to a probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Teach and co-create the programmes content and learning experience, guiding students through real-world challenges and thesis projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues, companies, and global networks to anticipate emerging tech trends and evolving skill needs.
• You can also strengthen international partnerships and bring global perspectives into the classroom.

Qualifications

• Solid expertise in AI, IoT, robotics, and automation.
• Hands-on experience with industrial applications and their business impact.
• Excellent English skills (teaching is in English) and a collaborative mindset.

Education and Experience

• MSc in Technology (e.g., Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering).
• MSc in Science (e.g., Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, Robotics).
• The candidate must hold a master’s degree and have a minimum of 3 years of practical work experience in the subject field. In addition, we also require that the candidate has either completed a teaching qualification, or will complete it within 3 years of taking up the post. These requirements are laid out in the Government Decree on Universities of Applied Sciences.
• Experience with online teaching and digital learning environments.
