Job summary

Smartly is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to help build and evolve its TikTok offering. You’ll own end‑to‑end capabilities from UX to services, collaborating with product managers and designers to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

You’ll work across the stack with Node.js, TypeScript, and React, shaping architectural decisions and mentoring peers. Hybrid work from Helsinki with opportunities to explore AI and automation in product development.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building and operating production‑grade applications across the stack using TypeScript/Node.js/React
• Experience taking product capabilities end‑to‑end from UX to backend services and APIs
• Experience designing distributed systems and asynchronous, event‑driven architectures at scale
• Ability to build reliable systems and integrations that handle high data volumes
• Interest in mentoring engineers and contributing to strong engineering practices

Responsibilities

• Own significant TikTok product capabilities end‑to‑end, from customer‑facing experiences to behind‑the‑scenes services and APIs
• Build intuitive, high‑quality user interfaces for creating, managing, and automating ad campaigns
• Design and operate distributed, data‑intensive systems at scale
• Create APIs and integrations that connect Smartly with TikTok and other platform components
• Drive technical and architectural decisions across the stack and set long‑term direction
• Collaborate with product and design to translate customer problems into solutions
• Work with cross‑functional teams to ensure a consistent experience across Smartly’s advertising stack
• Mentor other engineers and raise engineering quality and practices
