Job summary

Smartly is seeking an experienced engineer to own vertical slices of our platform, document services, and define API contracts for internal and external stakeholders. You will work across UX, product, infrastructure and support to ensure customer needs are met, while delivering high-quality software.

We value collaboration, continuous growth, and a hybrid work model with Helsinki office presence three days a week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience building robust, distributed web applications.
• Experience building client applications using React.
• Experience in backend development with Node.js and TypeScript; openness to other technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end vertical slices of Smartly's platform.
• Document services and communicate offerings to other teams.
• Define and own API contracts for internal and external stakeholders.
• Focus on well-designed, high-quality software where quality matters.
• Be a core contributor to the Creative Engineering Group's ambitions and product offering.
• Collaborate with UX, product, infra and support to meet customer needs.
• Develop and strengthen soft skills by working with customers and peers.
