Job summary

Supermetrics is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join its finance team in Helsinki. You will lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes, prepare financial statements, and perform in-depth analyses to drive performance improvements.

Ideal candidates have 6–8 years of PQE in tech, hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, and possess professional accounting qualifications (ACA/ACCA/CPA). ERP experience (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Workday) is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years’ PQE, ideally in a technology business.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CPA).
• Experience with NetSuite or ERP tools (Oracle, SAP, Workday).
• Strong drive to improve processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, management reports, and key financial documents.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide recommendations to improve performance.
• Oversee AP, expenses, treasury, and payroll in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Support group and subsidiary tax compliance, including transfer pricing with external advisors.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls and assist audits.

Responsibilities

• Supermetrics is now seeking a high-calibre and motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join the team
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly and year-end close procedures including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, management reports, and other key financial documents
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide recommendations to improve financial performance
• Contribute meaningfully to day-to-day financial operations including AP, expenses, treasury and payroll, working closely with internal stakeholders
• Participate in managing group, parent and subsidiary tax compliance, including direct and indirect taxation, transfer pricing etc working closely with external advisors
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Collaborate with external auditors during interim and annual audits and assist in resolving audit queries
• Maintain robust financial controls and ensure compliance to internal policies
• Continually evaluate and optimise monthly close and other finance processes, striving to deliver best practice in process automation, efficiencies and improved accuracy through AI enabled new ways of working
