Job summary

Gofore in Helsinki seeks a Senior Secure OT Software Engineer to build secure software for OT and embedded environments, ensuring security throughout the lifecycle and guiding teams. You’ll work hands-on while mentoring others and embedding security thinking into everyday development.

You will collaborate with Software Engineers, QA, and Security Experts, client stakeholders and Product Owners, enabling secure solutions and lifecycle compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong background in secure software development and its practical rollout.
• Embedded software development experience, especially with C / C++.
• Experience with OT and industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, CAN).
• Experience with device and firmware security (Secure boot, updates, integrity).
• Understanding OT environment security requirements (availability, lifecycle).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure software for OT and embedded environments.
• Guide development teams on secure SDLC practices and security thinking.
• Collaborate with software engineers, QA, security experts, stakeholders.
• Contribute to development of secure SDLC practices at Gofore.
• Occasional client interaction throughout project lifecycle.
