Job summary

Silicon Labs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, validate, and deliver complex Bluetooth stack features for its low-power wireless connectivity products. The role focuses on Bluetooth Low Energy technology and embedded software used in smart home, industrial IoT, and smart city applications.

Responsibilities include interpreting technical specifications, evaluating design options, designing software and APIs, and implementing features in Embedded C.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software design and engineering experience, excluding education.
• Experience with embedded wireless, networking software, system software, driver development, or a similar field.
• Knowledge of software architectures, APIs, embedded systems, wireless tech, internet protocols, microcontrollers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate and deliver Bluetooth Low Energy stack features for embedded devices.
• Interpret technical specifications and evaluate design options.
• Implement features in Embedded C and design APIs.
• Collaborate with Agile teams from specification through testing and release.
• Develop automated tests, measure performance, review code and designs, document decisions.
• Debug complex issues and assist customers.
• Work with build scripts, CI, SDKs and technical documentation; contribute to wireless specs when relevant.
