Job summary

ICEYE is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (Ground Stations) to own and evolve the cloud platform behind our ground station and connectivity systems. You will design and operate AWS and Kubernetes environments, balancing reliability, cost, and delivery speed across Berlin and Espoo.

You will drive security, IAM, networking, Terraform modules, and CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with software teams and ground station vendors to ensure continuous, secure operations.

Qualifications

• Experience owning a platform or critical infrastructure end to end.
• Extensive hands-on AWS production experience, IAM, cost management, and security.
• Strong cloud networking: VPC, DNS, routing, security groups.
• Deep Terraform experience designing modules at scale.
• Production Kubernetes deployments, Helm, troubleshooting.
• Track record resolving incidents and driving reliability.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Own key parts of the AWS and Kubernetes platform behind ground station systems.
• Drive larger infrastructure initiatives from design to delivery with dependencies on software teams and vendors.
• Evolve Terraform and deployment patterns to prevent configuration and release issues.
• Design and harden the network between cloud environments and ground stations.
• Turn operational problems into clear technical plans and workable solutions.
• Drive platform incidents to resolution and improve long-term reliability.
• Share knowledge via reviews, pairing, and mentoring to raise the bar.
